Photo Assignment
For this assignment, our group focused on the 1900-1945 time period. Each of the ladies in our group chose to focus on a different aspect of an important contribution to the information age. With the advent of the telegram, telephones and the radio there was an increase in access to information both on a local and a national scale. Women were able to enter the workforce as telephone operators, something that we hadn’t really seen prior to the advent of this technology. Overall, it was amazing to see just how many technological advancements were made in such a short time period!
